De hecho, Jobs fue uno de los primeros en probar la practicidad de las sandalias, ya que hasta quería saber de dónde venían, los materiales y todo aspecto técnico.
“Las sandalias eran parte de su lado sencillo. Eran su uniforme. Lo bueno de un uniforme es que no tienes qué preocuparte por qué ponerte por la mañana”, dijo Chrisann Brennan, expareja de Jobs.
Según la descripción de la casa, las sandalias están usadas, pero parecen nuevas pues mantienen sus hebillas y estampados originales. Además la plantilla de corcho y yute conserva la huella de los pies de Steve Jobs.
Las sandalias vienen acompañadas por una representación digital de 360 grados de las sandalias convertida en un NFT.
Steve Jobs falleció el 5 de octubre de 2011 en su casa de California tras una dura batalla contra el cáncer de páncreas, el cual había hecho metástasis y con el que llevaba luchando cinco años.
