A pesar de la importancia que ha cobrado en la actualidad el conseguir la mejor fotografía para mostrar en redes sociales, hay personas que lo llevan al extremo. Tal es el caso de un hombre que cayó dentro del cráter de un volcán por tomarse una selfie.
Esta es la historia de un turista estadounidense, de 23 años, quien ingresó al área prohibida del monte Vesubio en la ciudad de Napóles, Italia.
El joven, en compañía de tres familiares, subió los más de mil 200 metros del volcán, símbolo turístico de la ciudad italiana. Una vez que se encontraba en la cima, intentó tomarse una fotografía con su celular, aunque no contaba con que su aparato electrónico cayera dentro del cráter.
El turista proveniente de Estados Unidos intentó recuperar su celular, pero perdió el equilibrio y cayó varios metros al interior del volcán.
Guías vulcanólogos que laboraban en el monte Vesubio, se percataron de que dos personas habían ingreso al área prohibida, por lo que acudieron a investigar. Al llegar, se dieron cuenta de que uno de los hombre se había deslizado dentro del cráter y no lograba salir, por lo que acudieron a su axulio, según el presidente del Presidium permanente de Vulcano Vesuvio y Figav-Confesercenti, Paolo Cappelli.
Uno de los guías vulcanólogos descendió con una cuerda de 15 metros para rescatar al turista.
Según indican las autoridades, el hombre se encontraba inconsciente y con hematomas en sus piernas, brazos y espalda, por lo que las autoridades le brindaron primeros auxilios.
A pesar de que pudo ser rescatado con vida, la policía local presentó una denuncia en contra del joven de 23 años por haber ingresado a un área prohibida del volcán.
